Title: So Far Gone
Author: Avril Ashton
Genre: mm romance
Release date: August 1, 2014
Blurb: Jacob Donnelly wants something new. Something different. Which is why he’s got a one-way ticket to New York and his bags packed. One last night out to the bar finds him in a sexy stranger’s bed, giving in to an explosive chemistry Jacob had been searching for, but never found. Until now. It’s too bad he’s leaving town, although once he finds out his one night stand’s true identity, Jacob can’t get away fast enough.
Cash Warner made a mistake. It doesn’t matter that he’d never felt anything like the fire generated between him and Jacob. He doesn’t plan to ever see his one-night hookup ever again. Except he does. When the reality of what they’d done fully sets in, Jacob flees, leaving Cash struggling with how to deal with the bitter taste of betrayal he can’t escape. Because even with Jacob gone for years, Cash can’t stop wanting more of that one night. Fate conspires against them once again, bringing Jacob home after tragedy strikes, and they’ll find it near impossible to keep their distance despite being committed to other people.
A Caribbean transplant, Avril now lives in Stone Mountain, GA., with a tolerant spousal equivalent. Together they raise an eccentric daughter who loves reading and school (not so much school anymore). Avril’s earliest memories of reading revolve around discussing the plot points of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys with an equally book-minded mother.
Always in love with the written word, Avril finally decided to do the writing in August of ’09 and never looked back. Spicy love scenes, delicious heroes, and wicked women burn up the pages of Avril’s stories, but there’ll always be a happy ending; Av … Read the rest “Cover Reveal: So Far Gone, by Avril Ashton [mm]”
Title: Tyrant
Genre: drama
Created by: Gideon Raff
Starring: Adam Rayner, Ashraf Barhom, Jennifer Finnigan, Justin Kirk, Noah Silver, Anne Winters
Blurb from IMDB: Series tells the story of an unassuming American family drawn into the workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation.
Info borrowed from Wikipedia: Tyrant is an American drama television series created by Israeli director, screenwriter, and writer Gideon Raff and developed by Howard Gordon and Craig Wright. A 10-episode first season has been ordered by the American cable network FX. The series premiered on June 24, 2014. The pilot episode was written by Raff and directed by David Yates.
Bassam “Barry” Al Fayeed is from the fictional war-torn country of Abbudin. He has been living in self-imposed exile in Los Angeles for nearly 20 years. Barry, the younger son of Baladi’s dictator, ends his exile to return with his American family to his homeland for his nephew’s wedding. His arrival leads to a dramatic culture clash, as he reluctantly returns to the familial and national politics he once left.
I watched the pilot of FX’s Tyrant and I am eagerly anticipating the next episode. There is such a great framework and the potential for a truly amazing show.
Barry Al Fayeed is a pediatrician living in California with his wife Molly and two teenaged children, daughter Emma and son Sammy. But Barry is also Bassam Al Fayeed, second son of Khaled Al Fayeed, presidential dictator of Abbudin.
I make wishes on the stars all the time. It doesn't seem like a waste to me. Because in the forming of a wish--an idea--a concept of what can be is created. And until a wish is formulated, it's nothing but stardust and fantasy.
