During her break at work, Dahl wrote out a plan in her small memo book. She ignored the looks she received from other people moving in and out of the break room and focused on her task, her pink and white pill pen clenched in her hand.
Dahl felt good about the plan taking shape in front of her. She didn’t try to get creative and she kept things to what she could reasonably accomplish. She didn’t want to be like Sharon and her failed cabbage soup diet–she’d lost fifteen pounds, but gained back twenty, and that had been the end of that.
No, Dahl knew that what she was looking at was a lifestyle change. Which meant she would have to come up with a new way of thinking, not just about the food going into her body, but about her body itself.
For too long she’d seen her body as simply being the carrying case for her mind. It hadn’t really been her, so she’d never considered what kind of garbage she was putting in it.
But if just thinking about getting healthier made her feel excited, how much better would it be when she really started feeling healthier? She knew it would be hard, but she was strong and she was determined.
Dahl scribbled out some last notes before closing her pen and hurrying back to work. Her mind still bubbled with ideas and she didn’t stop the smile tugging at her lips.
I am strong, she thought. I can do it.

Here’s the super cute Vitamin Ballpen. I got mine from Amazon. I bought one for me and one for the Kid. The only disappointment is that we received two of the same color.
